Please read these two adverts, read between the lines, a bit of lateral  thinking and logical reasoning is required:

The ecobutton™ is one of those ideas which are so simple that you wonder why no-one ever thought of it before. Most home computers and laptops feature a little known setting known as 'Eco Mode', which places the machine into an energy saving state, without losing data. When pressed, the ecobutton™ activates your computer's Eco Mode, meaning energy is saved. When you are ready to start working again, simply press the button, and your machine will be instantly reactivated at the same place you left off.

There's an additional bonus, each time your computer is put into 'Eco Mode' the ecobutton™ software records how many carbon units and how much power and money you have saved by using the ecobutton™. Over time this can add up to quite a lot (especially if you have many computers running in an office) and you can use this data to help reduce your carbon footprint as well as your energy bills.

Based on the study figures, by using the ecobutton™ nationally, we could save 700,000 tonnes of carbon currently wasted in UK offices. It makes great sense.

The Eco Kettle 2 - Cut the cost of your cuppa with this chrome version of the next-generation Eco Kettle.

Launched exclusively by EthicalSuperstore.com, the new Eco Kettle 2 will help save you time and energy by boiling the exact amount of water you need. With its unique, patented dual chamber design, you can fill your kettle up to 1.5 litres, and then transfer the amount of water you want to boil into the heating chamber simply by pressing the plunger. The water you don't use is ready and waiting for the next time you want to use it.

What are they telling you? Just what are they asking you to buy? For why? Ask yourself… how come everything I buy lately is so GOOD for the environment?

Carrier Bags or bags for life?

Why do people say "It helps the environment, because a plastic carrier bag takes 300 years to break down" while they are filling their used plastic bag with goods which are covered in 40 times as much in plastic wrapping as the actual bag weighs?

I told you so!!

Why do people say " Its America's, China's and India's fault" when blaming someone for Climate Change, while watching the news on their plasma flat screen TV, made in Japan with Chinese plastic and American technology and copper wiring from India, after dumping their old set down the local tip?

Why do newspapers like The Time, whilst extolling the causes and hinting who is to blame for climate change, then advertise in the same paper; 'collect times air miles' cut out and save coupons?

"There is no such thing as 'GREEN' exept the colour. The only 'Green' product, is one made of stone!"..

Eco-Death?

Just for Fun?

I know,  seems rather like a major charity which earns big money for its clients but gives about 5% to the actual cause ( if any) that is.

Saw two people coming out of a supermarket last summer. Both had the 1010 logo made from aluminium around their necks.

Guess what? Both were loaded up with barbeque trays (lots) and loaded them up in their green (the colour) Range Rover!!

Just what is the significance of the logo made of aluminium? Sorry, could you throw that past me again?

Why do i get the feeling this is a con?
